T-shirt gepimpt!

This time something different: a pimped t-shirt. There are several great tutorials on youtube on how to cut a shirt. I took an old shirt of my son, a pair of scissors and tried it. Cut some straps (e.g. 10 cm long) horizontally in your shirt, 2 cm apart from eachother. Stretch the straps till they start to curl up. Take the second strap, go under the first one and than over it. Now you have a little loop. Keep repeating this (it looks like crochet). The last loop is stitched by hand on the shirt. I also cut off the neck, the sleeves and the bottom. Stretch those straps and attach to neck and sleeves (make a little hole in the shoulder to pull the strap through and knot the ends). Cut the sides of the shirt and knot them (remove the thick seam).
My friend Wilma loved the idea and is going to use it for her daughter's birthdayparty! You should try it... it's super easy!

Korenbloemen...

Cornflowers on a card!
Becca from Amazing Paper Grace made a great tutorial about right angle punching. I used the Martha Stewart Layered Arches punch for this card. The border at the bottom of the card is punched twice, once in off-white and once in blue. The little cornflower card is from a vintage childrens cardgame. The flowers are treated with Glossy Accents and blue glitterdust.

Vintage kadoosje...

Vintage giftbox...
... decorated with EK Success papers (Wedding Collection "I do"), lace, brads en sticky pearls. The vintage pictures are from the internet. I used punches for the borders, butterflies and flowers.

The weather is (at last) getting better so that means that I'm enjoying doing things outside. That makes it more difficult for me to write twice a week on my blog... So: if you're not getting any post from me for a while than I'm relaxing in my garden!

Vogelgroet

The idea comes from Kitty Franken but I adapted the formats. The paper is from Basic Grey (Oh Baby! Boy). I used the scallop punch and Doily Lace punch. I pinched the flowers on the outside till they look pointed.

The large flower on top is made with the 2 inch and 3 inch scallop circle punch. Punch 3 circles with each punch and moisten them. Fumble the circles and let them dry. After that gently open up the circles. Put the smaller ones on top and fold them all a bit so that the flower leaves become smaller. Glue the leaves (or use a brad). Ink the sides and spray glimmermist on top. Use glitterglue in the middle and a pearl.

Spaarpotje

This time I decorated a piggy bank with the papers of Sassafras Lass (Life is beautiful "Royal Bliss"). I also used lace, ribbon, sticky pearls, the Martha Stewart punch Doily Lace and glitter glue. Using the moneyholder makes it easy to take it out of the piggy bank.

Vintage...

...box made with Ankie en Dorothé. The sun was shining brightly so we could sit outside in Ankie's garden. Marlène joined us also for a while. We covered the box of Xenos with Tilda papers (Autumn Lilac) en put a vintage print, flowers and pearls on it. We also used the Martha Stewart punches Arch Lattice and Doily Lace. The cute box is now displayed on my cupboard...
